The April 2015 Nepal earthquake killed more than 9,000 people and injured more than 23,000. It occurred at 11:56 am on 25 April, with a magnitude of 7.8Mw. Being a citizen of Nepal our duty was to serve our country when in need. We formed team of 8 people coming from different sector of business. I was only student among 8 peoples and the youngest one. We served many villages around Kavre District.

Our objective was to help people who were suffering from Earthquake.

We collected fund and through that fund we distributed Tirpal and staples. We talked personally with people who were suffered from earthquake disaster and tried to console them.

Observation and Learning:

We went villages like Pingola Jyamdi at Kavre district and Dampokhari. We served 26 houses out of 100 houses in Pingola. We provided staples food and some clothes. In Dampokhari  Dhakal Gaun we provided tirpal and staples food to 30 houses. During my volunteering at earthquake relief project I realized people were friendly and cooperative. They sat a meeting and the head of village distributed the food and tirpal without creating difficulty. I found village people generous and simple.

During cleaning program around “New Bus Park Area”  associating with Ajay Gurung (Entrepreneur I found people coming and asking what we were doing and some people joined us for cleaning program but, some people were demanding gloves, water, food etc in return of helping. I got chance to work with so many enthusiastic people.

Personal Feelings:

I felt Nepalese people were helpful and active during the time of Earthquake. We were all united for one reason: Serve suffered people. After helping earthquake victim I realized the importance of team work and dedication.

We can achieve what we need if we work in a team and cooperate with each other.

Nepali Bride- Celebrating Red

Oh! Mooi, Oh! Mooi

You are a Nepali Bride, your face glowed with Pride.

Oh that  red attire, everyone admired.

“I love photos, especially when I click myself”.

Last weekend (July 02, 2016) I was on coffee date with one of my dearest friend Kartika. That days’ weather was heavy, just too perfect for this meet up.  We made this plan after our basic photography workshop. Kartika was looking gorgeous with that wavy long hair and simple pink T-shirt. Since, we had one umbrella to share- half of our sides, got drenched in the rain.

We went to “Hot Breads” the chain restaurant of town. The friend of mine is a writer, social worker, down to earth person. We work together at same organization and she handles Office of student affairs, where she is an inspiration for many of us. The waiter placed an order and Kartika ordered cappuccino for both of us. The side of the restaurant had glass walls. We both enjoyed watching people outside until our cappuccino arrived. I was so happy to see decorative coffee. I wanted to click some photographs for my assignment so; I took out camera and started practicing perfect shots using the skills that I had learned just before this date. The environment was just so positive and vibrant, we started talking about everything. That day I shared her one of my secrets which I had kept in myself for a long period of time.

That coffee, weather, environment and company was too perfect that made July 02, 2016 memorable day of my life.
